Hi, I’m Phil! I’m a graphic designer and illustrator with a background in packaging and print design. I was raised in the greater Buffalo, New York area where I reside currently. This is where I learned my deep appreciation for winter weather and snow sports. I learned how to ski when I was three years old and started snowboarding at ten. I strongly believe these experiences hold a strong influence on my personality, and artistic development. If you had asked me at the age of ten what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would have told you that I wanted to make the art that goes on skis and snowboards. Although I didn’t have a name for that career path quite yet, becoming a graphic designer as an adult has gotten me pretty close to that mark.

At the age of 35, I haven’t designed any snowsport hardgoods (as of yet) but my career development has taken me to some pretty cool and unexpected places. Since graduating Buffalo State University with a B.F.A. in Graphic Design in the spring of 2020, I’ve had the opportunity to work in-house and freelance for several businesses and agencies. I designed event campaigns, print collateral, motion design, and merchandise for several ski mountains including RED Mountain, Steamboat, and Winterpark Resorts. Most recently I worked as an in-house designer for the Packaging department at the Fisher-Price campus of Mattel inc. located in East Aurora, New York. At Fisher-Price I was able to hone my print and packaging design skills while working with all sorts of licensed partners on a range of toy brands including Imaginext, Little People, Little People Collector, and Power Wheels.

If you’d like to collaborate on a future project with me, or just reach out and talk about outdoor stuff, please feel free to drop a line!
